Coming soon to Sydney - Chiquel

Great news for Sydney fashionistas - Chiquel is coming to Bondi Junction in April!

No need to travel to their exclusive salons in Melbourne anymore.

They have everything and I mean EVERYTHING you could possible need in regards to hair, wigs, hairpieces and hair extensions, for both women and men.

They also do spray tans and have a hairdressing salon. You will be looking and feeling fabulous.

Wigs

I like that you can use a wig as an accessory to your outfit. I am not talking about fancy dress parties but just glamming it up for a night out.

For a bit of retro goodness, I love the Chiquel's 'Pinup' wig. It's very Bettie Page-like.

Personally, I love a dramatic change without the commitment of a new hairstyle to maintain.

Hair loss

There are many other reasons why people may need the services of Chiquel.

Hair loss can be a difficult time for some people, especially those that are undergoing chemotherapy or have alopecia or pattern baldness.

Chiquel provide private fitting rooms and onsite styling, fitting and cutting by qualified hairdressers.

They also cater for hair loss in children.

Their services are professional but most importantly, understanding of your needs.

Never Tear Us Apart

Chiquel were asked to supply the hairpieces for the INXS Never Tear Us Apart miniseries.

It was imperative that the hairstyles looked as authentic as possible. I think they aced it!

Online

If you can't make it to the Sydney or Melbourne salons, Chiquel has an online store www.chiquel.com.au

Have a look at the many wigs and hairpieces they have available.

Happy birthday Molly Ringwald

80s screen queen, Molly Ringwald is 46 today.

Which movie was your favourite - Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles or The Breakfast Club?

Mine was and still is Pretty in Pink, hands down.

For the love of stationery

My son is back at school and I am back to my studies. Just starting to get back into the swing of things.

I am a stationery freak. Have you seen the wall of pens at Officeworks? Some women love shoe shopping, for me it's getting new stationery.

As a child, I remember the week before school started and getting new stationery. It was the best feeling ever and I couldn't wait to use my new things.

I would make a deal with myself that I wouldn't lose any of my pencils and my handwriting would always be neat.

The first couple of pages would be extremely neat and as the pages went on, well, let's just say that it started to resemble the handwriting of a doctor.

Thankfully as an adult, I keep it more consistent.

So back to Officeworks my shopping utopia...

Officeworks encourage you to have a comfortable workspace that inspires and creates great work.

Officeworks sets you up for what will hopefully be your best year at uni or school.

Psst! Don't forget to check out the wall of pens!

Shirley Temple Black April 23, 1928 – February 10, 2014

By now, you are probably aware that Shirley Temple Black has passed away.

She died yesterday (U.S. time), aged 85 years old.

She is quite possibly the most famous of all child stars. She was loved by the young and the old.

She never went off the rails like so many other child stars.

A wonderful woman who left show business and became the U.S. Ambassador to Czechoslovakia and Ghana, plus many more amazing achievements.

We will miss you Shirley.

Here are some of my favourite photos of showbiz Shirley.
